At Supreme Finishes Painters & Decorators, we are experienced in spray-painting techniques. This type of application is hugely beneficial when covering large surfaces as it allows an even coating of paint.
Airless spraying uses a high pressure pump to atomize the coating. We can use different tip sizes to change the pattern size, achieving the exact finish you require. We use this type of system to paint heavy duty industrial and chemical coatings and linings.
There are many advantages to this kind of application. The coating penetrates better into pits and crevices and a uniform thick coating is produced, reducing the number of coats required. A very “wet” coating is applied, ensuring good adhesion and flow-out. Most coatings can be sprayed with very little thinner added, thereby reducing drying time and decreasing the release of solvent into the environment.
HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spraying
Our HVLP system also enables us to achieve fabulous results on large scale projects. It is similar to a conventional spray gun but requires a lower pressure because a higher volume of air is used to aerosolise and propel the paint. The result is a higher proportion of paint reaching the target surface with reduced over-spray, materials consumption, and air pollution.
